My Morning Routine

Infusing coffee with magical intent

Infusing coffee with magical intention

Start off on the right foot

Lately, a lot of people have asked me what my morning routine looks like to get my day off on a positive note. I recently uploaded a lengthy video of this on my YouTube channel so make sure you check it out!

Every day is a little different but I have a very similar structure to each day no matter what the rest of my day looks like.

This is something I've constructed over years, kind of like building a routine: I've added and removed things I felt weren't helping or would help.

Upon waking up I try to set a positive mindset before I even get out of bed; being in gratitude for what my day will consist of, where I'm waking up, and the life I've created.

After getting out of bed I go about a routine of making some intention-setting "brews" now I go into further detail of what and how in my video so definitely check it out! I have BOTH a cup of coffee AND a cup of tea and infuse them each with their own intentions.

After those are made, I sit alone, in silence (if the weather is cooperative on my deck), think about my intentions, and my plans, and quietly contemplate what I want for my life. NO electronics or disruptions!

After my morning drinks I meditate and then journal, I will try to meditate on my goals for the day or short term. I make sure to meditate at least 20 mins in the mornings and I write down whatever intuitive hits I get in my journal after I meditate.

If I have time I'll read a witchy/spiritual book for a half-hour.

And finally, I go for a walk in nature to help ground me, this really gets me prepped for the day of readings.

Of course, I shower and self-care of hygiene as well and do all that with intention too.

I used to use a bullet journal and would color therapy too but I found that far too tedious to keep up with.

Once I'm grounded, clear-headed and ready I then start my work, readings, etc with clients.

I HIGHLY recommend you get yourself your own version of some kind of morning routine or ritual to help you feel more at ease even if it’s just 10 mins alone sipping coffee with intent.

As a reminder to go gentle on yourself I;

1. Work from home.

2. Own my own business and create my own schedule

3. Do not have any children and live alone

So all those things I accomplish are because I CAN, don't feel pressured to fit it all in  I have flexibility in my life and that is why I get so much done before I begin my day so I don’t forget it!

Have fun creating your own ritual and don’t forget to check out the video for more details!

Blessings,

Mel
